George Edward Owens pictured in his National Fire Service uniform (top left) with members of his family including his brother who was a member of the Home Guard. Private George Edward Owens of the Commandos was 19 years old when he was injured during the D-Day landings. He had been in the army for 12 months and had previously been a member of the National Fire Service at Pembroke Dock.
