Description

Telegram addressed to Mrs R.A. Owens of Pembroke Dock. It reports that her son, George Edward Owens PLYX111420, has been seriously wounded on war service. Sympathy is expressed for her anxiertty. The telegram is dated 10 June 1944. Private George Edward Owens of the Commandos was 19 years old when he was injured during the D-Day landings. He had been in the army for 12 months and had previously been a member of the National Fire Service at Pembroke Dock.
