Photograph of George Owens and a friend called John. The photograph was taken in Holland in 1945 after George's recovery from his combat injuries. Private George Edwards Owens of the Commandos was 19 years old when he was injured during the D-Day landings. He had been in the army for 12 months and had previously been a member of the National Fire Service at Pembroke Dock.
