Description

John and his fellow comrades paying tribute to lost ones during the 52nd anniversary of the end of the Second World War. During the Second World War John Kenneth Hughes trained as a radio signaller for the 2nd Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry regiment. Kenneth took part in the Battle at Hamminkeln and also in the D-Day capture of Pegasus Bridge on the night of 6 June 1944.
