Photograph of a Second World War grave. It is believed that the image was shot in Poland by Gordon Postlethwaite, around 1945. Gordon Postlethwaite from Manchester joined the RAF on 9th July 1941 aged 18 years. He successfully trained as a pilot in Alabama USA and returned to Europe where he flew numerous missions. He crashed and was taken prisoner in 1944 and was sent to a camp in Poland, where he stayed until the end of the war when the camp was liberated.
