A cutting from the South Wales Evening Post, in which Violet describes her experience of the 3 Night Blitz of Swansea in 1941. Violet Jones was evacuated from Swansea to Crwbin, Kidwelly, in 1941 when she was 9 years old. All the children from her school were loaded onto 2 double-decker buses and driven to Kidwelly. Mona John saw Violet at the pick-up point, ans walked the mile home to ask her parents if they would take Violet in. Mona and Violet have remained good friends ever since.
