Description

This letter was written by Tudor Thomas to his sister Gwen between voyages from his home in Newcastle Upon Tyne. He asks his sister what she would give for 'a beautiful 24 hours undisturbed sleep' and 'to wake up and find a pound of country butter lying on the table'. He continues: 'Dreams are really wonderful things aren't they'. Hywel Tudor Thomas was a Captain in the Merchant Navy during the Second World War.
